Eagle, eagle
Graciously gliding in the sky.
How do you do it?
How do you live in the heavens,
when the earth is unto us bestowed?
Surely, your keen eyes can see
the delights that lurk below?
Ah, but to feel the wind beneath my wings
That is a story you humbly know.
For 9 months I carried you in my womb.
And even though you are your own person now,
I still feel you.
I feel your curious nature and your adamant spirit.
I feel your love,
connected to my heart,
like a string to a balloon.
Happiness and joy shine through your eyes
like a million suns.
My boy, my sunbeam,
Thank you for all that you are and all that you will become.
Mom
Yup, that's right.
I am trying something new.
I am queen procrastinator who leaves things until the last minute, innovator who starts projects and doesn't finish them (most of the time), complainer complaining about not having enough time to do the things I dream of doing...well it's time for a change.
I have taken the first step in creating a schedule for myself that combines work, family, personal development and creativity. I have listed my goals that I would like to achieve every day. Here's a word of advice: BE REALISTIC! My first attempt at this schedule had me in stitches! Not even a super hero would be able to achieve all the things I had listed. So keep it simple.
But it doesn't stop there. I have come to the realization that visualization is a key component to achieving your goals in life. No matter how far into the future your goal might be, you have to see it clearly in your mind. You have to hold that image of yourself as if you have already achieved it.
I call it positive reinforcement.
Hello World
Here I am.
This is me.
There's nowhere else I'd rather be.
